How do you guys feel about poetry? I am a writer, so I think 2720 would be a great venue for poets to get a chance to read their work, music playing in the background to match their themes.

I think straight-up poetry readings would be awesome, but another idea to add is a poetry slam. My Alma mater would host these at a nearby bar, and they were very successful. Each participant brings in 3 poems. Everyone takes a turn reading their first poem. Random audience members are chosen to rate each poem. Then that group gets cut in half. Whoever has high ratings moves on to the next round, reads their second poem, and new audience members rate them until only a few people are left. After finally reading their last poem, a winner is then decided.

I myself have been looking for opportunities to read my poetry, so I think adding the written word to your schedule of creative arts would certainly be appreciated, and many would take advantage of the opportunity.
