HD4000:
HD4000 is actually two people: Odeed and Wish. After producing breaks together under various aliases since 2003, they discovered dubstep one evening in San Francisco – playing breaks at a underground party for a close friend of theirs. Odeed and Wish were the only act that night that wasn’t playing dubstep, and after their set, they stayed to hear wh…at it was all about. They were pretty impressed, then after hearing some of 6Blocc’s tunes they decided to give it a go and made their first song as HD4000, “Guess Who”. The name HD4000 was inspired by the latest addition to their dual studios – the MPC4000, which replaced the MPC2000XL they used to sequence on. One of the main differences is that the new MPC has an internal hard drive, and so Hard Drive 4000 = HD4000. They received a lot of good feedback about “Guess Who” and continued making dubstep, eventually finding themselves up in the chat room of dubstep.fm with the radio deejays playing the newest tunes from HD4000. Before they knew it, Odeed and Wish had produced enough songs to compile HD4000’s first album, Nu-Step, and to their surprise, it became the number 1 downloaded dubstep album on Juno. They have releases out on several labels such as Filthy Digital, Dubstep Records, Left Side Recordings and their home label, W.E. Recordings. Artists they have worked with include some of the hottest producers in dubstep such as Kid Logic, The Widdler, Blackheart, Mr. Curtamos, Hellfire Machina, MK2, J Suave, Joint Forces, Caustik, Twitchdubs, and VoodooSteamBoat.
Now HD4000 has their own weekly show on dubstep.fm – Hits from the Hard Drive at 5pm PST on Sundays. Check it out, and join in with the dubstep.fm family in the chat room!

Two Fresh consists of twin brothers Sherwyn and Kendrick Nicholls and is accompanied live by drummer Colby Buckler. The twins have been making beats and playing music together since their freshman year of high school. In August of 2008, they began playing shows across the south. In early December they added on Colby on drums for the live setting. Together they bust out some of the freshest tracks, wowing people from all… over the spectrum. Packing out venues, they keep the whole place moving with a raw, cutting edge sound that is a combination of hip-hop and jazz that takes electronic music to a whole new level. No matter what your into, Two Fresh will bring you music that is guaranteed to keep you moving. Their sound has begun to grasp the attention of people across the globe.

The Floozies show is like a Lewis and Clark expedition through all things funky, except instead of Lewis and Clark you have brothers Matt and Mark Hill. Their “funk for aliens” will take you on a journey through classic funk, hip-hop, dub, disco, electronica, and afrobeat with hints of jazz and even film scores along the way. Since forming in January of 2008, this duo has gone from rocking local house parties …to touring the country and performing alongside their musical heroes. And with nothing pre-recorded and nothing sampled, every show is a completely unique experience as they reach for new levels of improvisation. While The Floozies are certainly eclectic, one thing that can be counted on is that every show is a party. With lasers. And aliens. Their album, “Live: Volume 1,” is a testament to their unique musical approach. It contains 21 tracks from shows all over the country and is a free download from flooziesduo.com. So come cleanse yourself in the waters of their synth-hop-electro travelling funk circus and be awakened by music that is truly created in the moment…
