Loyal Family presents…

“One of the most bombastic & unique visceral experiences in modern entertainment!”

The Mutaytor (9pm) & Euforquestra (11:30pm)

8pm Doors / 9pm Show / 18+ / $10 ($3 minor surcharge) / Buy Tickets

For a decade now, The Mutaytor has traveled the country with one of the most bombastic and unique visceral experiences in modern entertainment. Combining an eleven-piece modern analog and electronic dance orchestra, with a 15 physical performance artists, The Mutaytor creates a rapid fire succession of futuristic vaudevillian theatre and choreographed dance acts, coupled with breathtaking feats of aerial performance, giant screen visuals, massive pyrotechnic displays and unique reinterpretations of the circus arts against one of the most evolved progressive, electronic art rock bands on the West Coast. The vibe is ecstatic, friendly and all-inclusive, and each show is an explosion of immersive, vivid art; both on and off the stage.

Born in the Black Rock Desert at the Burning Man Arts Festival, the Mutaytor has gone on to record 3 critically acclaimed records, and performed to packed houses and giant festivals all over the country. Their fans are rabid and legion, and often elaboratly costumed, and each event often breaches the wall between the entertainers and the entertained.

Originally from Iowa City, IA, Eufórquestra (pronounced: yoo • FOHR • keh • struh, think Euphoria+Orchestra) relocated to Fort Collins, CO in August 2008 and has made a splash on the Colorado music scene with its progressive, genre-crossing funk fusions and a relentless tour schedule. Eufórquestra is quickly spreading its self-proclaimed “Afro-Caribbean-Barnyard-Funk;” a unique, rhythmic blend of sound, integrating such genres as Afrobeat, Reggae, Afro-Cuban, Samba, Soca, Funk, Salsa, and Dub. Eufórquestra’s music is igniting dance floors across the country, with a sound that “explodes, dances and melts in your ear with sheer bliss” (Chris M. Slawecki; AllAboutJazz.com). As percussionist and lead vocalist Matt Grundstad puts it, “we just want to make people dance.”

With three full length albums to their name and a relentless tour schedule, Eufórquestra has created a presence on the national scene, performing all over the U.S. at clubs, concert halls, community events, and festivals, such as Wakarusa, Summer Camp, 80/35 (Des Moines, IA), Sweet Pea Festival (Bozeman, MT), NedFest (Nederland, CO), Montana Beer Festival (Bozeman, MT) and Iowa City Jazz Festival. In addition, Eufórquestra hosts their own festival, Camp Euforia, every year in July, just outside of Iowa City, in Lone Tree, IA.

Sat 11.13 – Skank presents… Ossie Dellimore CD Release with guest Zion & The Lion Roots Band

Skank Productions proudly presents…

Ossie Dellimore and the Soldiers of Justice + DJ Ruff Scott CD Release Party! Celebrating the new disc on Skank Records ‘Reggae Music’ with special guest Zion and The Lion Roots Band.

7pm Doors / 8pm Show / 18+ / $20 cover ($3 minor surcharge) / Buy Tickets

It is too easy to rant and rave about the album, Freedom’s Journal “Righteousness Exalteth a Nation” [Skank Productions]. Ossie Dellimore, together with the Soldiers of Justice, create a powerful ambience of love and unfaltering consciousness as well as a superb contribution to the world of roots rock reggae. From St. Vincent, Ossie Dellimore’s tenor voice is strong and confident as it delivers the conscious messages within his lyrics. Several tracks on his album are worth mention, and the bass lines on this CD are bold, driving the music at a rock-steady pace. This is not one of those CDs that you buy for just one song. Almost every track is a concrete example of what modern roots rock reggae is at its best.

Since immigrating to the United States, Zion’s music has spread from the Caribbean to the Southern and Midwestern states where he has built a sizable following as one of the few Caribbean artists in these Hip Hop dominated communities. With his sights set on the seasoned Caribbean audiences of the Northeast, Zion wowed the producers of New York’s premiere outdoor Reggae festival Irie Jamboree in 2005 and 2006. Zion was the sole roots artist invited by Dancehall legend Bounty Killer to perform at the New York Launch of Saddle to the East 2006, where he won over scores of hardcore Dancehall fans. His biggest goal is to come back home to help his people and spread the message of hope, togetherness, and love. His greatest accomplishment is recording at Tuff Gong Int’l Bob Marley’s studio in Jamaica. Now Zion is working on his new album which will be released on Skank Records. The album is called “Strictly Roots,” look for it soon!
