WhiteWater Ramble + The Warbuckles + Oakhaven
8pm Doors / 9pm Show / 18+ / $7 ($3 minor surcharge) / Buy Tickets

Colorado-bred quintet WhiteWater Ramble combines the elements of Mandolin, Fiddle, Acoustic Guitar, Upright Bass, Drums and Vocals to explore the musical boundaries of multiple genres to fuel their own mixture of original music and innovative cover song interpretations. Whether playing an intimate encore, acoustic and unplugged in the crowd, or surfing on top of the upright bass, WhiteWater Ramble delivers a powerful and memorable live performance.
Before it got cold outside, you could find The Warbuckles on their porch in Dogtown making some classic american sounds. The cold weather hasn’t stopped their momentum one bit though, they’re working out more and more original songs and they’re eager to play more live shows. They’re an undeniably tasteful roots band with good vocal harmonies and laid-back rhythms. Come out early and give em’ an ear, you won’t be disappointed.

Signal Path
+ Goodness Gracious + 18andCounting
Big Beat / Electronic / Hip-Hop
8pm Doors / 9pm Show / 18+ / $10 ($3 minor surcharge) / Buy Tickets

For almost a decade, Signal Path‘s mission has been to push the boundaries of electronic music in the performance setting. As one of the pioneers of their genre, Signal Path has influenced countless artists across the country, been downloaded by tens of thousands of loyal fans nationwide, played almost every major US festival, and has gained international recognition for their live shows.
In the next phase of Signal Path, and almost two years since their last major tour, fans find the band producing a sound that has become more mature, authoritative, and immense. While still blending both live instrumentation and computer generated production, Signal Path is creating some of the most progressive music in their history. Originally a duo, Signal Path comes full circle with Ryan Burnett producing and playing guitar and Damon Metzner on the acoustic drums. This configuration allows the sound to become focused, spontaneous, and rich.

Goodness Gracious is the latest project from the mind of Mike Fitzsimons (from Digital Movement / Fitz & Dan). Fitz has been hard at work in the studio, creating new tracks with guitar, synth, and Ableton production. Check out what he’s working on at his website below; and come out October 1st to see and hear the tracks in full effect. There will be live guitar, bass, synth, and laptop DJ’ing.
Stan Chisholm (a.k.a. 18andCounting) is an emerging interdisciplinary artist from St. Louis who studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His drawings, paintings and mixed media installations reveal a growing cast of over 700 characters or mascots that serve as a visual lexicon for the moods, personal attributes or feelings explored in his work. Chisholm’s work has been exhibited at Laumeier Sculpture Park, City Museum & the Contemporary Art Museum in St. Louis, and most recently with a solo exhibition at The Hyde Park Art Center. His DJ sets encompass a wide array of music samples but it’s always danceable.

Ugly Lion (Dallas, TX) + Ras Tra
8pm Doors / 9pm Show / 18+ / $5 cover ($3 minor surcharge)

Although Ugly Lion debuted May of 2009, the band’s core members have been collaborating for several years. The foundation of the band is a collective of nine musicians, who as longtime friends have come together to create music with a conscious message.
After building a local following through live performance and extensive self-promotion, the band released their first EP, “THE UGLY TRUTH” in July 2009. Following the release, the band embarked on several regional tours building a southern and midwest fan base in a few short months. Realizing their growing popularity, the band dedicated themselves to booking, promoting, and funding their endeavor, including creating the opportunity to share the stage with many of the most popular reggae acts in the world today. Including national and international acts such as SOJA, The Original Wailers, Collie Buddz, Tribal Seeds, Cas Haley, The Movement, and many others.

Messy Jiverson is BACK!
w/ The Floozies (Lawrence, KS)
Psychedelic / Funk / Electro
8pm Doors / 9pm Show / 18+ / $7 ($3 minor surcharge)

From the stacks of basement record collections and the soundtracks of 70’s and 80’s era cult films comes Messy Jiverson, a blast from the past that’s timelessly vintage, yet modernly applicable all in the same. Inspired by the sounds of dusty vinyl, dirty guitars, dangerous drum breaks and dynamic synthesizers, the band explores elements of funk, hip-hop, rock and soul in their completely original style. Heavily influenced by the loop digga movement and decades of musical history, Messy Jiverson is psychedelic rock with a hip-hop flair and hard dance beats.
Hailing from the Midwest, the band quickly formed after a group collaboration of several accomplished musicians came together in the summer of 2007. With the desire to make a serious musical statement, Messy Jiverson’s conceptual sounds feverishly attracted a young, hip, St. Louis crowd, mesmerized by body moving beats amid mind bending instrumental compositions. On the strength of their latest album, ROWC (a top ten record of the year in 2010 – RFT), the group plays to a loyal following night in and night out. Over the last few years they’ve shared the stage with such eclectic artists as Pnuma Trio, Edan, EOTO, Lotus, Kyle Hollingsworth Band, Family Groove Co., Euforquestra, and Public Property.
A show with The Floozies is like a Lewis and Clark expedition through all things funky, except instead of Lewis and Clark you have brothers Matt and Mark Hill. Their “funk for aliens” will take you on a journey through classic funk, hip-hop, dub, disco, electronica, and afro-beat with hints of jazz and even film scores along the way. Since forming in January of 2008, this duo has gone from rocking local house parties to touring the country and performing alongside their musical heroes. And with nothing pre-recorded and nothing sampled, every show is a completely unique experience as they reach for new levels of improvisation. While The Floozies are certainly eclectic, one thing that can be counted on is that every show is a party. With lasers. And aliens. So come experience their synth-hop-electro travelling funk circus and be awakened by music that is truly created in the moment.

Starkey + Bare
+ Spankalicious vs. Dr. Awkward + Jen Z & more!
Dubstep / Drum ‘n Bass / Hip-Hop
8pm Doors / 9pm Show / 18+ / $15 ($3 minor surcharge) / Buy Tickets

STARKEY
Grime/Dubstep/Hip-Hop
PJ Geissinger aka Starkey is blessed with musical arrangement skills that would leave most composers green faced with envy. This combined with his high production ethic makes him a formidable force not only in the underground but also as a super producer of the future. Starkey is yet another example of what the streets of Philadelphia can create, his sound hits hard and is littered with bass and colourful audio frequencies. If you like grime, dubstep, hip hop and all things “street bass” then Starkey’s hard edged spaced out crunk is the sound for you.
BARE
Drum ‘n Bass/West Coast Hip-Hop/Dubstep
For Los Angeles bassline technician BARE, aka Sean Rodela, 2010 will be fondly remembered as the year his twisted face melting sickness exploded into a worldwide epidemic. Taking the dubstep scene by storm with his staggering studio output and electrifying live performances, there is no question BARE has clawed his way into the ranks of the bass music elite – and he’s not going anywhere. If you don’t know, time to get to know…
The BARE sound is a product of deep roots in rock, west coast hip-hop (as part of the Vital Mindz collective) and aggressive drum ‘n’ bass (as past alias Reborn). These influences, combined with ultra crisp drum programming, slick melodies and mind altering bass modulation, spawn face melting dubstep anthems that practically rewind themselves. “I’d have to say that the love of making something from nothing inspires me to make music,” BARE says. “There is no better feeling than when you see people go insane to something you created from scratch!”
SPANKALICIOUS
Psychedelic/Bounce/Dubstep
Spankalicious is bounce. Making his mark on the electronic music scene in the Midwest with the high energy that he brings to the stage, creating the vibe needed to get the rage started! Kevin Moore (aka: Spankalicious) is currently based out of St. Louis, Missouri. Coming from an extensive background in rudimental percussion/drumming has allowed Spank to read rhythms inside and out. Shown through scratching, drumming, as well as seamlessly blending and mixing, Spankalicious thrives on taking the crowd on a journey.
vs.
DR. AWKWARD
Columbian Dubstep Cartel
Nick Meyer aka Dr. Awkward first touched turntables about a year and a half ago, and hasn’t looked back since. The live experience has made Nick a hometown favorite, and allowed him to share the stage with some of the biggest names in electronic music today… Vaski, Siren, DZ, HD4000, Ill Gates, plus Datsik and Dieselboy in the near future, just to name a few. His passion for different types of music outside the electronic scene, be it blues guitar, underground hip-hop, or classical piano, lends a sound, flow, and emotion to his shows that is quite rare in the dubstep scene. Keep an eye out… Things could get awkward…
JEN Z
House/Drum ‘n Bass/Breaks
“With a little bit of spunk and a lot of raw talent, Jen Z tears up the dance scene all across the Midwest. Her timing techniques and immaculate track selection have earned her a spot rocking Burning Man this year and she was recently voted St. Louis’ best Breaks DJ of 2008. You might have seen her grace coveted St. Louis stages from Winter Warpdrive to Underground Sound and Booty Halloween. Strap on your sneakers and brush up your moves, Jen Z on the decks rocks a dirty sick groove!”
