The Half-Truths, a collective of talented studio musicians, joined forces in 2007
under the G.E.D Soul label based out of Nashville, TN. After teaming up with
immensely talented front man and vocalist, DeRobert Adams, the group cultivated
a sound that all lovers of real funk and soul can appreciate. On stage the band fires
on all cylinders, combining a gritty/funky feel reminiscent of early J.B.’s mixed with
the gospel/soul sound of a young Donny Hathaway. Touring as DeRobert & the
Half Truths, the group has headlined funk/soul dance parties for Dig Deeper DJs in
Brooklyn and Soul Summit DJs in Chicago. Thanks to Loyal Family and The Hustle
& Soul City DJ’s, the group is coming back to St. Louis for another unforgettable live
performance at 2720 Cherokee. DeRobert & the Half Truths, coming off of their
sophomore 7-inch EP entitled, “Beg Me”, will be joined by G.E.D Soul labelmates
& psychedelic soul ambassadors, Magic In Threes. With Funky 45’s dance party,
courtesy of DJ’s Hal Greens & Jeff Burns, this will be a burner of a show sure to keep
St. Louis HOT on a cold December night!
